Western Region Trekking in Nepal

The Western Region of Nepal provides unique and wildness trekking oppertunity. The popular trekking areas in this region are Dolpo area, Rara Lake and Shey Pokhsundo Lake trekking. In general, the region has not been developed to cater to independent trekkers so groups must be fully self sufficient.

Well off the beaten path, Rara Lake is a great destination for those seeking adventure, solitude and wilderness. Although logistically complicated, the lake rewards trekkers with beautiful scenery and ample opportunities for great bird-watching. This trek can also be combined with the Dunai to Jumla trek for a great traverse of Western Nepal.
