Langtang Region

Lantang Region is wilderss trekking area towards the north of Kathmandu. Langtang region is famous trekking destination offers Tamang and Sherpa culture, scenic mountain views and religious places like Gosainkunda, Panch Pokhari etc. The "Valley of glacier" or Lantang Valley is famous for Sherpa and Tamang Culture

 

Langtang region offers the some of the wildest and most scenic areas of Nepal from the fertile rice basins of Trisuli to the dense forests of rhododendron and conifer on the higher slopes, the high alpine Yak pastures, glaciers and moraines around Kyangin Gompa. The remote holy Lakes at Gosainkunda along the route we experience the whole range of Himalayan topography. Langtang Region can be reached by land transportation from Kathmandu. Special trekking permits are not required to visit this region. National Park Conservation fee is to be paid.
