This Annapurna Sanctuary Trek another classic trek in the Annapurna region. It is relatively a short trek that can be completed in as little as 14 days. The trail ascends deep into the gorge of Modi Khola through breathtaking forest of Rhododendron, Oak and Magnolia enjoying the tantalizing views of the mountains ahead. And, eventually the trail emerges into the heart of the sanctaury and here we see the huge amphitheatre with magnificent views of annapurna massif south face (8090m) looming overhead. From the Sanctuary we use the same route till Chomrong downstream the Modi Khola before making a worthy detour to Gandrung, a beautiful and large Gurung village. It is advisable you to allow two weeks to fully appreciate the high altitude scenery.
